baby dreaming space astronaut

Shouldn't all good boys dream of piloting a rocket to the stars and becoming a cosmonaut? At least they did in USSR after the triumphal success of the Soviet space program and the first manned space flight made on April 12, 1961 by the 27-year-old Russian Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.(Юрий Гагарин)

Since then a holiday – Cosmonaut Day ( День космона́втики) was established and celebrated in Russia and some other former USSR countries on April 12. Later on, since April 7, 2011 the April 12 was declared as the International Day of Human Space Flight. And Yuri Gagarin became one of the most famous Russian in the world. There's a legend that before the spacecraft took off he said:  Пое́хали! [pa'yehali], which means "Let's go!" ,"Move on!" This phrase became a popluar quote among Russian native speakers and all over the world.
